The Lord of Shadow and Below

Part 1: the holy trinity of light:

God: or YAHWEH (I am who I am) or (I am jealousy.) Yahweh was a vengeful god, sending angels to murder the first born of Egypt, Drowning the Egyptian forces that tried to re-capture the Hebrew Slaves.

The Holy Spirit: the most vague of the heavenly trinity, an intangible part of the trinity. He / it can be known to worshipers as joy and hope and love and light.

The Prince of Peace: "Jesus" (originally named Yeshuah aka Joshua [Jesus was not his name in initial translations.]) This also brings up quite possibly the "biggest" mistranslation blunders in all of humanity, that Mary was a "virgin" when early versions simply used the name for a young woman, a "maiden," which can "also" but "not necessarily" mean a "virgin" but more likely, to avoid direct influence by Zeus, and to avoid questions about Joseph who had somehow yet to make love to his own wife who, conveniently, claims that an Angel came and told her that "God" had impregnated her.

So the "virgin birth" teeters on the translation, over hundreds of years, from: Aramaic to Greek to Latin to Middle English. A billion Catholics are turning and twisting in their graves!

God becomes incarnate as his own son and saves the souls of anyone who accepts him Jesus/God as their lord and savior and is therefore brought up into heaven for an eternity of light, love, and devotion. 

Part 2: The unholy Trinity of the Dark (the shades and the shadowy realm)

Satan. [The mirror of the God YHWH of Light] (originally translated to simply mean an adversary, or one to take an adversarial role in an argument/debate [aka "The Devils Advocate" in law], also can mean a turncoat or betrayer (he became a "satan" when he switched sides.)

Also known as: The Devil, and Lucifer (the light bearer, the morning star falling from heaven.) Satan was the "God of the Underworld" later known as Hell. Here we have another crossover from the Greek Gods, in this case Hades of the shadowy underworld. Though not an evil god (dark, shadows, shades, but not punishment and not "evil")

Later Satan's physical description became symbolized by yet another Greek god Bacchus, god of wine and ruler over female sexuality, who had the legs and hooves of a fawn from the waist down, and horns on his head to show his bestiality (later described as the cuckold, and old term meaning that when a man is cheated upon by his wife he grows horns and is called a cuckold (still used in modern British slang as "a cuck". This had nothing to do with the horns of Satan which represent a bestial persona. Later non-canonical writings came up with a wife of Satan, named Lilith, whom he rejected and threw out because she wanted to be "on top" during sex. She later found other lovers and so "cuckolded" him, explaining his horns. But none of this is actually biblical.

Satan also had a short tail like a fawn, and later non-biblical witch hunters said that when a witch made a pact with Satan, she lifted his short tail and kissed him on his anus (just gotta say, yech.)

Later on, it became a long tail ending in a triangle / spear point. Also, initially his upper human half was of normal human color, but as he became associated with the underworld, and the fires and lake of flames and cauldrons to cook the sinful souls, and the burning of souls, his skin color came to be dark red symbolizing the fires of hell, and his fawn legs and hooves became black. Thus the horned hooved Satan "almost" worshiped (in terms of fandom and interest in the hell-fire and damnation preaching of Ministers and Tent Preachers, and more recently by evangelical Christians who were of a majority who had no idea that all of this was non-canonical and had nothing to do with the bible. It was yet another among hundreds of ways to convert the gods and goddesses and their actions and situations in order to teach the "peasants" (aka heretics) that their Goddess was Mary, and their God was YHWH. And all those Greek and Roman and Middle Eastern and Egyptian Gods and Goddesses were actually evil demons!

Another tradition of thought among all non-canonical religious fantasies of priests who were mentally a little bit skewed, Satan was originally the most prized Angel serving the Lord. But he became so prideful he began to wonder why his throne should not be equal with God's. He convinced 1/3 of the host of angels to follow him in a war in heaven. Unsurprisingly, the 2/3rds of the angels beat them, and cast them down into the pit, and a lake of burning fire (Milton's black fire.)

Other non-biblical stories have him fast forward to the birth of Jesus and his subsequent death to save the sins of the whole world. Satan became so Jealous of Jesus that he, again in the 1/3rd minority, waged war in heaven because God now loved his new creation, the humans, more than he did any of the angels.

Leviathan aka the great dragon, [the mirror of The Holy Spirit in the trinity of light. he brings the dark joy (schadenfreude) to those souls who revel in the worship of Satan.]

The Prince of Darkness. The son of Satan, the Antichrist, here Satan and The Prince of Darkness become mixed up and confused. Satan is often called the Prince of Darkness, but if the unholy trinity of dark, or "shades," is a mirror of the holy trinity of light, then the Prince of Darkness needs be the mirror version of Jesus. And so, son of Satan, not Satan himself.

He becomes incarnate and takes over the world for 1000 years, creating a Hell of the surface world of Earth with no sun in the sky.

But who he is or will be specifically are not known. A fact lost on the religious faithful of God.

And We Shall Endeth the Lesson With A Dream of the Third Son of an Episcopal Priest, who, unbeknownst to his family, had been studying the concept of Satan and Hell and had found it a better choice than his soul being burned away and turned into energy for the tyrant YHWH.

(I once had a dream that me and my oldest brother and my sister were sucked down into hell when the street ripped open and we tumbled in. At the time I was keeping dream journal [for a while] and I was able to remember all the details of the dream (most people have fleeting memories that then kind of evaporate, probably for our own good. Who would want to add dreams on top of all the stuff we have to deal with in the real world.)

Anyway. In the dream I was specifically chosen by Satan to take a quick tour of the the central tower of hell which reached all the way up to the top of the cavern and let out onto the Earth's surface.

Satan told me that I belonged in Hell, when I came of age, because (and this is actually real) because I was the "third son of a holy man." He then to me to a giant empty amphitheater and on the stage was a dagger of silver in the form of a dragon. He told me that it was (remember this is a dream) "the Dragon Tail Incisor."

As we were leaving he came across a soul who did not belong in the black tower. And as he raged at it, I pulled out the dagger, pushed Sagan on his back, and yelling in some ancient language, "Agulba!" I stabbed Satan over and over.

Then I became the ruler of Hell, aka "The Lord of Shadows and Below."

Or even, the prince of darkness, the son of Satan, Hades of the Underworld. Who's to tell?

Who knows what will happened to the son of a preacher man when he comes to the gates of St. Peter, or the boat of Charon? 

And is it true what they say, that he actually has a choice between them. For, when the 1/3rd of Heaven revolted, Duma, the Angel of the Silence of Death, repented and told God of the plans of Satan. And, as such, would be welcomed back into Heaven. But Duma's betrayal set so heavily that he actually chose Hell (hades, the underworld, the land of shades.) And this choice is what saved him from the eternal ire of Satan.

(This dream was scored by John Carpenter's soundtrack to his infinitely influential --to me-- to the film Prince of Darkness which I had on repeat on the night before Thanksgiving when this dream actually really physically / mentally happened to me, just as if it were all real (surreal, unreal.)
